Religious Education for Children has been a vital part of Christ the King Parish for many years. It serves children who, for various reasons, do not attend the Christ the King Catholic School.
Approximately 100 parish children are enrolled each year.
Classes are held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., every Wednesday evening during the public school calendar year. The RCIA class for children, which begins at 6:00, on Wednesday evenings, has been established for older children who have missed receiving the Sacraments at the normal age.
Most of the catechists are former or present school teachers certified by the state of Florida. All hold degrees and are either certified catechists by the Diocese or are presently working toward this goal.
The Director of Religious Education is Lucille Guzzone. Her duties also include coordinating the preparation and reception of the Sacraments for the children of the entire parish.
Religious Education will begin September 7, 2016. Registration and photo permission forms and event calendar are below. It is recommended that your children are registered before classes begin. Completed forms and tuition may be sent to the rectory in care of Lucille Guzzone, DRE. Registration will also take place at the "Meet and Greet" evening before and after the opening Mass in the church gathering area.
